Attumen down with ease
Yesterday was the first time the non core raid (or the B-team) visited Karazhan. The raid was decided and announced on Monday. We had immense problems with getting people to join, mostly I think because the A-team goes Kara on Friday and they have started to have sign-up spots for the dps. Tanks and healers are pre selected as usual...
Finally we went in. But with only four guild members. Among the other six there where one from LFG and five from a friendly guild.
The problem was that we only had two real healers. I was one tank and my druid friend was the other so tank spots was good ;D
We did have one paladin, the LFG member, but he was retribution. Well we took him for the blessings.
In we went after over one hours delay. Some due to getting the last members there, the other was the fact that two Horde guild had decided to camp on the stirs and to kill everyone from alliance that wanted to enter. I don’t mind PvP - but 20+ arena geared Horde ganking everyone in sight is booooring.
Well. Back to Karazhan. We cleared the stables good. No problem what so ever. Came to Attumen. I was to tank him since he is disarmable. Easy as pie. Picked him up with a Thunderclap and kept him firmly on me. A very easy fight. Unfortunately no plate drops but the Spectral Band of Innervation and the Steelhawk Crossbow dropped.
Then we went up to Moroes. Clearing the trash up to him was a breeze. I died from OT'ing the stewards since I must have spilled the wine =D. They do a debuff called Drunken Head Crack that makes target unable to parry/dodge/block and all hits to do ~4k in damage.
On to Moroes. We wiped, wiped and wiped. The real problem was when he gouged me (I MT'ed him) and then a healer was second on aggro list => Oneshot. I have read that the OT shall try to go second on aggro list. But - who tanks the adds that needs to be killed?
Next time I think we need the OT to pick up a add, all dps goes to Moroes, move him to Moroes position. Build aggro on Moroes and add for a cpl of seconds and then dps goes all out again. They do have 80k hp so to let dps kill the by them selves aren’t that good I think.
Any suggestions?

Just let the DPS kill the add, or have the OT tank the add and build threat on Moroes at the same time.
To be honest, the adds don't hit that hard, and they can be stunned, so just stunlock and nuke them while the tanks build threat on Moroes.
In your situation, I would have asked the Ret pally to put on a sword and shield and tank the adds with Righteous Fury. After the adds are dead, he can switch back to a 2H weapon and DPS.
Hope that gives you some ideas for next time.
I'll second what gsh said. Generally we shackle two (holy & shadow priest), trap one (hunter) and burn the last one down while the tanks are on Moroes. Once the first is dead, we kill the trap. Then all DPS on Moroes. Only tricky part is keeping the priests alive so their shackles remain viable as CC.
Moroes is a bit of a gear check, IMO. My guild run took several (three I think) weeks to get Moroes down, but now he isn't a problem.
Interesting read to hear about the PUG kara =)

1) Before a new boss, always read up on the encounter, boss abilities and tactics. This is especially important for you to do if you're the MT. A good place to start is the wowwiki page for the boss, which includes links to other strategy guides.
2) Specifically for Moroes, see:
http://www.wowwiki.com/Moroes
Here are some personal tips:
1. Don't use a Paladin to fear an add, the add will frequently run out of the room causing a reset. Use shackles, freeze-traps and burn-down/OT the other adds. Leave shackled adds till after Moroes is dead, unless the controlling Priest dies.
2. You must have 2 tanks on Moroes.
3. Frost Mages can Ice Block (twice!) out of Garrote. Paladins can bubble both themselves and others. Dwarves can use Stoneform. Make use not to waste bubbles on Frost Mages, Dwarves or the MT/OT (they should be getting healed all the time anyway) and the fight should be easy. Prio bubble on Priests/Resto-druids.
Good luck :)
Thanks for all the tips!
@gsh
I too think that letting the pally Off-off tank (OOT?)the add to kill would have been a good soulution. Maybe the hunters pets would do a good job too. On constant growl they would share the damage (they where 2).
@brehm
Yep, the priests died like flies. That is a hard part thing with healer CC. No room for mistake.
@Meen Green
Stay tuned - we are going in this wednesday too. God knows who we will get this time =D
@solidstate
About reading up. I had done that. But since a cpl of the others had done the instance before I let them decide. Well... Next time I will rely on my own knowledge a bit more. I do think it feels akward to order ppl around when only on a reading knowledge basis.
It is a special mindset to be (informal) raid leader - I think I will write a post on that later on.
We have a little different approach on Moroes than most others. Tryed the "Traditional" CC 2 adds approach at first, but after 4 wipes we decided to kill three and since that day we have wiped on him only once ;)
We have 2 warriors tanking him. If possible we CC 2 at start and OT crabs one add to serve as "ragebattery" to allow him to make more threat.
We don't tank adds at all, we just nuke them. First we nuke one (SPriest if there is one), then then "weaker" CCer target. After that dps kills OTs ragebattery, and because both tanks have had fun to bashing it while Moroes is Vanished, he normally dies nicely on Moroes feet.
After that we just kill Moroes and clear last add.
